Evelyn Tomaro is a music director, conductor, and keyboardist specializing in musical theater. Evelyn began as a choir accompanist at the age of 8 and began playing for pit orchestras at age 14. As a music director her credits include Dogfight, Sunday in the Park with George, The Prom, 13, and several cabarets and concerts for new and existing works. She made her 54 Below Debut as the music director for Acts of Love: The Songs of Jason Robert Brown this past January. She has also played keys for countless shows including Into the Woods, Anastasia, Pippin, Sweet Charity, SpongeBob, and more. This summer, Evelyn is thrilled to be the music director and music supervisor at The Mac-Haydn Theatre in Chatham, New York.
Evelyn's most recent work as a composer includes her newest single, Do You Think You're God, set to release in early 2025, and her single Slushie, streaming on all platforms now. She is also a two-time winner of Curtain Up, Berklee's Musical Theater Songwriting Contest, with her original theater songs Why Can't I and A Woman selected to be performed at the Berklee Performance Center.
Evelyn has worked as an arranger and orchestrator for several musical theater cabarets, including Berklee's Broadway Band. Her most recent orchestration projects include Astonishing from Little Women, Calm from Ordinary Days, and The Streets of Dublin from A Man of No Importance.
Evelyn is currently a student at Berklee College of Music, where she is pursuing a BM in professional music with a minor in musical theater conducting and musical theater writing.
